  • Fault testing of buried cable fault tester

    The buried cable fault tester adopts multiple detection methods and applies modern advanced electronic technology achievements. It adopts computer technology and microelectronics technology, and has the characteristics of high intelligence, complete functions, wide range of use, accurate testing, and convenient use.

    The buried cable fault tester consists of a transmitter, a receiver, an induction probe, a potential difference detector, etc. This instrument uses electromagnetic induction method to track optical cable lines and burial depth, and uses potential difference method to locate optical cable faults. Suitable for the wiring, burial depth testing, and wiring of various optical cables and cables with metal wires (wire pairs, protective layers, shielding layers), as well as the wiring of poor insulation points to the ground. It is a specialized line fault tester for postal and telecommunications systems, railways, mines, oil fields, airports, shipping and other units.

    The complete set of equipment for underground cable fault testing can quickly determine the nature of the fault, the distance from the fault point to the testing end, accurately locate the fault point, find the direction and depth of the buried cable path, detect the transmission speed of unknown medium cables, the length and joint position of the entire cable, and identify faulty cables in multiple cables. One set of equipment can be used for multiple purposes.

    Underground cable fault tester fault testing:

    The basic steps of fault testing are to measure the insulation resistance of the faulty cable using a megohmmeter or multimeter to determine the fault characteristics and determine the testing method. Test the distance of the fault, detect the path of the cable buried near the fault point, and fix the fixed point.

    The testing system has three basic fault testing modes: low voltage pulse, direct flash, and pulse flash, as well as eight different sampling method combinations of testing modes.

    Before testing, disconnect all connections to the cable terminals.

    There are two buttons on the testing system panel, "Input Amplitude" and "Displacement". Used to adjust the amplitude and vertical position of the signal for the next sampling.
