There are several issues to be aware of when using a DC high-voltage generator:

1. Please note that only professionals holding a High Voltage Test Certificate are allowed to operate and use the DC high voltage generator.

2. During the use of DC high-voltage generators, it is necessary to strictly comply with the provisions of the "Electricity Safety Regulations". At the same time, add two obvious disconnect points before testing the power supply into the device. Before replacing the tested product and wiring, please ensure that both power disconnection points have been clearly disconnected.

3. Before testing, the control box of the tester, the voltage doubler, and the grounding wire of the test product must be connected properly. The ground wire of the test circuit should be strictly grounded according to the equipment manual.

4. The discharge of large capacitance samples should be carried out through a 100 Ω/V discharge resistor rod. When discharging, pay attention that the discharge rod should not immediately come into contact with the test sample, but gradually approach the test sample until it starts to discharge freely and emit a hissing sound at a certain distance. When there is no sound, you can discharge with a discharge rod and then directly discharge with the grounding wire.

5. During the testing process, testers are not allowed to shake hands or touch the grounding position with their hands, otherwise slight electric shock may occur. This is because when the DC high voltage is 200kV or above, the tester stands at a safe distance wearing insulated boots, but due to the influence of the spatial electric field distribution of high-voltage DC ions, several adjacent stations carry different DC potentials. This phenomenon is more pronounced in arid areas and winter, but due to its lower energy, it generally does not cause harm to humans.

6. After the test is completed, be sure to hang the ground wire to the high-voltage output terminal and then remove the high-voltage lead.

7. Pay attention to reliable grounding when using testing instruments. Do not hold high-voltage outgoing cables in your hands, just in case.
